  • How do I purchase a gun online?
    • Buying a gun online is simple, just Click Here for details.
  • Do you accept transfers?
  • What forms of payment do you accept?
    • We accept MasterCard, Discover, Visa, Money Orders and checks (items ship when funds clear.)
  • What are your hours of operation?
    • 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. CST Monday - Friday.
    • Local visits by appointment ONLY, flexible hours available.
  • What is your return policy?
    • Our return policy is pretty straight-forward for most items other than firearms and ammunition. If the item you ordered shows up and it is just plain wrong, that's on us. Send it back, and we will gladly replace or refund your initial purchase.
    • For firearms however, things are a little different. Once you receive the firearm from your local FFL (Federal Firearms License) holder, IT'S YOURS!!! Leadslinger Armory will only receive firearm returns on orders that were filled incorrectly by us. We inspect all outgoing orders, but things do happen. Please inspect your purchase BEFORE the National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) is initiated. If you have an issue with your purchase, do not proceed with the transfer and contact us immediately. Bottom line, think before you buy.
  • If I don't like what I purchased, can I return it to you for a refund?
    • No, all sales are final once the item has left the store with exception of our return policy listed above. For liability reasons, we cannot refund ammunition and firearms sales. If your item has a manufacturing defect, then we can help you ship it back to the manufacturer for warranty repairs.
  • Do you accept warranty items?
    • Leadslinger Armory does not represent itself in any way as a warranty affiliate for any manufacturer or vendor. All warranty requests are to be handled through the manufacturer's suggested warranty methods and providers.
  • What is your privacy policy?
    • We respect your privacy! Any and all the information collected on this site will be kept strictly confidential and will not be sold or disclosed to any outside parties.
  • What are the requirements for buying a firearm in Texas?
    • Valid Texas Driver's License.
    • Must be 18 years of age to purchase a rifle or shotgun.
    • Must be 21 years of age to purchase a hand gun.
    • No waiting period.
    • No registration.
    • No restricted firearms or magazines.
    • All NFA laws apply.
  • Are there any fees or special licenses for purchasing a firearm in Texas?
    • The only fee in Texas is the sales tax unless there is a transfer involved.
    • No special licensing is required, but a Concealed Hand Gun License (CHL) is highly recommended.
  • What would make me ineligible to own a firearm?
    • The following is a list of items that would prohibit you from possessing, receiving, shipping, or transporting a firearm:
      • You have been convicted of crimes punishable by imprisonment for over one year, except state misdemeanors punishable by two years or less.
      • You are a person who has been convicted of a felony offense.
      • You are a fugitive from justice. (Have an active Arrest Warrant)
      • You are an unlawful user of certain depressant, narcotic, or stimulant drugs.
      • You were adjudicated as mentally defective or incompetent, or committed to any mental institution.
      • You are an illegal alien.
      • You have renounced your U.S. citizenship.
      • You were convicted in any court of a misdemeanor crime of domestic violence.
      • You are subject to a court order that restrains you from harassing, stalking, or threatening an intimate partner. (Restraining order, T.R.O., etc.)
  • I do not live in the state of Texas. Can I buy something on your website?
    • Yes, we can sell to out-of-state residents as long as the item is legal to own in your state. It is up to you as the buyer to check with your local laws and verify that you can legally own the item before you buy it. All firearms sold to buyers living out of state must be sent to a dealer with a valid FFL. A copy of the FFL must be sent to Leadslinger Armory before we ship any firearm. Firearms cannot be sent to a purchaser's home or business.
  • If I do not see the item that I want on your website, can you special order it for me?
    • Yes, Leadslinger Armory carries a diverse firearm inventory, but if you do not see what you want, feel free to contact us to check on pricing and availability. We are able to process your order over the phone as well.
    • All special orders must be paid in full prior to us placing the order. Cancellation of a special order for any reason will result in a 20% cancellation fee or $100, whichever is greater.
  • What does it mean when my background check comes back as proceed, delay, or denial?
    • Proceed You passed the background check and the transfer may proceed.
    • Delay A delay simply means the NICS examiner needs more time to gather more information to verify your identity and complete the background check. Common reasons for a delay include those with a common name or if the NICS computer systems are slow and the process times out. When NICS informs us that the transaction will be delayed, they will also provide a release date. If NICS does not respond before that date, then we, the dealer, can still legally transfer the firearm to you, the purchaser. Delays can take anywhere from 1 day to 7 days.
    • Denial You did not pass the background check, and the transfer of the firearm is prohibited. The reason for a denial is not provided to the dealer because this is private information regarding the customer. A person that has been denied can appeal the decision if they feel that it was an error. The appeal process can take anywhere from 14 to 150 days to complete. Detailed instructions for an appeal can be found here: NICS Appeal.
  • Do you buy used guns or do trade-ins?
    • Yes, we do buy used guns and take trade-ins on a case-by-case basis. Feel free to set up an appointment to bring in your gun for an evaluation. We also offer consignments.

  • Can a civilian own a NFA (National Firearms Act) /class III weapon?
    • Absolutely! If this is an area that interests you, contact us about all the details. It's easier than you might think. If you're 21, can legally purchase a firearm, and can pass the NICS background check or have a Concealed Hand Gun License (CHL), you should have no problems.
  • How long does it take to file the required paperwork with the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (BATFE)?
    • If you purchase an item we have in stock, the required paperwork usually takes approximately 60 to 90 days. If the item was purchased online from an out-of-state dealer, you can usually add another three to four weeks to that time (and usually a transfer fee from the receiving FFL holder.)
  • Can you make a new full-auto firearm for me?
    • Unless you're purchasing the firearm for the U.S. Government or official law enforcement agency, the answer is... ABSOLUTELY NOT. We would like to stay in business!!
